Tom Sestito still has a job

Perpetual hot-head and enforcer clone, Tom Sestito resigned with the Flyers earlier today after accepting his RFA qualifying offer. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.

A player of his caliber will rarely see the bigs unless there are multiple injuries - and there's even less of a chance seeing Sestito 2.0 already exists in Zac Rinaldo - but he could thrive in the AHL for the Phantoms. Just last year before missing the majority of the season due to a groin injury, he played 34 games in Adirondack at left wing and had nine goals and eight assists... that's an average of .5 points a game... So he's not completely useless. But in reality, once the season starts one has to think it's just a matter of time until he gets suspended for punching someone in the back of the head or taking a run at a skater along the boards with his head down. Thus is the life of a fighter.
